Posted by AClarkTXTS, 06-03-2011, 12:53 PM Now that Teamspeak 3 RC1 is released everyone can use a new feature called TSDNS or TeamSpeak DNS. TSDNS allows users to connect to Teamspeak 3 servers without the need to specify the IP or port number.
TS3DNS.com is a free Teamspeak DNS (TSDNS) service for those that do not know how or do not want to setup a TSDNS server. Users can get a free TS3DNS.com hostname or use their own domain.
Some of the benefits of using TS3DNS.com:
- 2 free TSDNS zones, either:
- Free TS3DNS.com subdomain. (ex: yourguild.TS3DNS.com)
- Your own domain. (ex: ts.yourdomain.com) *Requires a simple DNS change.
- Change servers IP:port without ever modifying your users connection information.
- Zero setup! Perfect for those that cannot or do not want to setup a TSDNS server.
