SpamAssassin - redirect based on Subject ?
Posted by expatCanuck, 11-12-2011, 12:09 PM |
Greetings -
Since my host disabled BoxTrapper, I encounter a LOT more spam during the day.
I'd like to create one or more rules to delete (or at least redirect) email
if the Subject field contains a known trigger word or phrase.
For example, I'd like to redirect all email whose Subject line contains 'jewelry'
to (e.g.) spamCatcher@myDomain.com.
I can't find any .cf files in my site files via cPanel's File Manager -- all I seem
to have access to is the /.spamassassin/user_prefs file.
If anyone couldI'd really appreciate it.
[Yes, I have reviewed the relevant apache.org SpamAssassin pages, but they're geared
to Admins with more complete 'nix access -- I seem to be limited to what I can access
via (my admittedly limited knowledge of) cPanel.]
Thanks kindly,
- Richard

I think you can do what you want without SpamAssassin . Take a look in cPanel->"account level filtering"-> create a new filter , and there you just redirect the messages with 'jewelry' subject to an email address.

I'm using Account Level Filtering and route all the spam and suspected email to the junk folder of my primary email address. With this, I only have to check one email account for spam.
