mod_ext_filter vs. mod_filter

| Trying to implement a pretty massive list of text replacement filers. I've used mod_ext_filter in the past, and at times things would hang.
Does anyone know of any other way to do search and replace of text? How well does mod_filter work?

| I don't recall ever using mod_filter. Have you looked into mod_replace or mod_line_edit or mod_substitute or mod_sed.
There are a lot of apache modules for doing search and replace and each one has its strengths and weaknesses.

| Well I've only used mod_ext_filter mostly. What are your experiences on these plugins? Which one performs better?

| Thats sort of like asking whether a paint brush or a sledge hammer is better, it depends on what you want. Basically you have to read the documentation thats out there. Try searching for each one and reading what it does.
