Hello, I'm running Fedora with cPanel. Every day, at around this time, there is an impad process for a specific user that seems to run for hours and takes the load beyond 1.2 . Whenever I kill this process, a new spawns off (see below). ps aux | grep user : user 31570 98.6 0.0 3184 720 ? R 11:00 1:53 /usr/lib/courier-imap/bin/imapd /home/user/mail/userdomain.com/user user 31573 0.0 0.0 2932 708 ? S 11:00 0:00 /usr/lib/courier-imap/bin/imapd /home/user/mail/userdomain.com/user root 31847 0.0 0.0 5320 612 pts/0 S 11:02 0:00 grep user Do you guys have any idea why the mailer is doing that for this certain user?? Thanks, Lamp

It's a user checking their imap-based email. Have you checked the size of the user's email directory, or also watched your mail server log? /var/log/maillog

Yup. Nothing unusal in /var/log/maillog, just imapd connections. Also, the mail directory is 27 megs.
