My email system has been working great then last night the mail system will not send or recieve for any of my accounts. I have also rebooted with no effect. I also noticed in Horde that new folders appeared called new, cur dirsize etc. Any one have any clues?

apparently you are running a Cpanel box and have recently converted from mbox to mdir. Are you managing the box by your own or having someone manage for you? If you are managing by your own, login to your server via SSH as root and run the command /scripts/convert2maildir, option 3 and wait for it to complete.

Ahhhhh, yep. Bingo. That'd be the fix.
For those who aren't aware, this was in today's cPanel update:
@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@
@! ATTENTION! mbox is deprecated in this release !@
@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@
@ You should switch to using maildir as soon as @
@ possible. To switch run @
@ /scripts/convert2maildir @
@ in a root shell. @
@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@
So, SSH in to your server as root and type
It is a good idea to select Option #1 first. Backup all your accounts' mailboxes "just in case."
Then when that is done, select Option #3. The upgrade will probably take about an hour, it goes account-by-account. But it does it behind-the-scenes, so your server is still running and doing its ordinary stuff. No need to hand-hold it.
After that you should be all set!
